ABC Fire App Redesign
Revised Industry Project · Consumer App — exploratory work revisiting a 2020 project (Dec 2020 to June 2021) with Claude as a design collaborator.
The Problem
ABC Fire, a private fire equipment manufacturer, had limited staff and resources but wanted to scale fast against growing competition.
The Gamification Concept
Public users can add extinguisher photos with expiry dates via this app, allowing the ABC Fire team to arrange replacements. The team updates their inventory and rewards users for their contributions.
AI as a Design Collaborator
This project was shipped in 2020. I used Claude to redesign the app's UI, keeping its core features and USP. Claude tested the original structure, preserving all my design choices. The AI sped up UI exploration within the gamification framework from the original product.
What Changed and Why
The home screen was restructured to foreground the gamified capture flow, giving the reward loop and inventory progress equal visual weight to the core scanning function — without changing a single underlying feature.
